About Us!

We are the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Our team includes Mikayla Joa, Joey Miller, Prapthi Sirrkay, Derek Duchene, Joshua Broeker, Eric Patton, Nora Dixon, Meg Sebastian, Makayla Palmer, and Logan Timmons. All 10 of us make up the Thunder PengWins. We compete in First Tech Challenge championships (FTCC).

Our team members work very hard.

Joshua Broeker: Joshua is one of the original members of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Joshua mainly works on the engineering notebook and social media on the team. He likes to play video games, watch anime, and write stories in his free time. His favorite class is science. His favorite part of FTC is working on the engineering notebook/ website but also enjoys building the robot.

Eric Patton: Eric is one of the original members of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. He is a programmer on our team but also builds a lot on the robot. He likes to animate, videography, reading, and writing books in his free time. His favorite class is math. His favorite part of FTC is Building on the robot.

Mikayla Joa: Miki is one of the original members of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Miki is one of the main builders and a team captain on our team. She likes to read, draw, and watch TV in her free time. Her favorite class is art. Her favorite part of FTC is The team debates.

Joey Miller: Joey is one of the original members of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Joey is a main builder and a team captain on our team. He likes to watch YouTube, watch Doctor Who, track and field, and practicing math in his free time. His favorite class is math. His favorite part of FTC is the satisfaction of accomplishment.

Makayla Palmer: Makayla joined the second year of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Makayla is an all around that helps with whatever is needed but also works plenty on the bot. She likes to watch YouTube, watch Netflix, and twirl baton. Her favorite class is choir. Her favorite part of FTC is making connections and friendships.

Logan Timmons: Logan joined the second year of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Logan is a main builder on our team. He likes to read, relax, and play video games in his free time. His favorite class is English. His favorite part of FTC is designing.

Derek Duchene: Derek joined this year (or the third year) of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Derek is a main programmer on our team. He also gave us a hand last year in FLL. He likes to play video games, play sports, and hang out with friends. His favorite class is Tech Ed. His favorite of FTC is building.

Prapthi Sirrkay: Prapthi joined this year (or the third year) of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Prapthi is an all around who does whatever is needed but also helps with the robot. She likes to read, and doing karate in her free time. Her favorite class is math. Her favorite part of FTC is building new stuff and experimenting.

Nora Dixon: Nora joined this year (or the third year) of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Nora is an all around who does whatever is needed on our team. She likes to play on her phone, and watch TV in her free time. Her favorite class is science. Her favorite part of FTC is building.

Meg Sebastian: Meg joined this year (or the third year) of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team. Meg is an all around that does whatever is needed on our team but also does plenty on the robot like n She likes to play soccer in her free time. Her favorite class is Spanish. Her favorite part of FTC is building.

We also have some fantastic coaches, mentors, and parents who help out on the team.

Michael Broeker: He was our coach on the first two years of our team in FLL. Now he helps wherever he can.

Chris Beaucage: He has helped out since the beginning of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team.

Christina Broeker: She has helped out since the beginning of the Thunder PengWin Robotics Team.

Gish: He has began helping this year.

Raymond Moore: He has began helping this year.

Jayish Sirrkay: He has began helping this year.

Anne Dixon: She has began helping this year.

Kristy Beaucage: She has began helping this year.
